Made for daily walks and a classic look, this Italian leather dog collar is handmade by KowaLeather in New Jersey. Soft leather, smooth edges, and brass hardware give it a simple, timeless style. Choose black, green, or red.

Specifications
  • Material: Italian vegetable-tanned leather.
  • Colors: Black, green, and red.
  • Hardware: Brass buckle and D-ring.
  • Closure: Adjustable buckle.
  • Edges: Smooth and polished.
  • Made in: New Jersey, USA.
Size guide
  • Wrap a soft measuring tape around your dog’s neck where the collar will sit.
  • Leave enough room to slide two fingers between the tape and your dog’s neck.
  • Compare that measurement with the available size ranges. Choose a size with room to make the collar tighter or looser.
  • If you do not have a soft tape, use string. Mark the length, then measure it against a ruler.
  • You can also measure a buckle collar that fits your dog well. Lay it flat and measure from the buckle’s metal pin to the hole your dog uses. Do not measure the full length.
  • Check the fit when the collar is on. Two fingers should fit comfortably underneath, but the collar should not slip over your dog’s head.
The leather
  • We use Italian leather tanned with plant-based tanning agents. This process is called vegetable tanning.
  • Natural grain and small marks give each collar its own look.
  • Color and texture may vary slightly from one piece of leather to another.
  • Over time, the leather gains a patina—a natural change in its color and surface.
How it is made
  • Every collar is handmade by KowaLeather in our New Jersey studio.
  • We cut and shape the leather, then polish the edges until smooth.
  • We add the buckle holes and attach the brass buckle and D-ring.
  • The simple design shows off the leather’s natural grain and color.
