Size guide
  • Wrap a soft measuring tape around your dog’s neck where the collar will sit.
  • Leave enough room to slide two fingers between the tape and your dog’s neck.
  • Compare that measurement with the available size ranges. Choose a size with room to make the collar tighter or looser.
  • If you do not have a soft tape, use string. Mark the length, then measure it against a ruler.
  • You can also measure a buckle collar that fits well. Lay it flat and measure from the buckle’s metal pin to the hole your dog uses. Do not measure the full length.
  • Check the fit when the collar is on. Two fingers should fit comfortably underneath, but the collar should not slip over your dog’s head.

Sizes Available:

  • XS ( 8–12"), width 0.5"
  • S (11–15"), width 0.5"
  • M (12–20"), width 0.75"
  • L (15–24"), width 1"
  • XL (17–26"), width 1"

The leather
  • Wickett & Craig tans its leather in Pennsylvania using plant-based tanning agents. This process is called vegetable tanning.
  • Natural grain lines, small marks, and slight color differences give each piece its own character.
  • Your collar may look slightly different from the photos because every hide is unique.
  • Our leather pieces are best appreciated in person, where you can see their natural beauty and feel their rich texture.
  • With use, the leather gains a patina—a natural change in its color and surface.
How it is made
  • Each collar is handmade by KowaLeather in our New Jersey studio.
  • We cut and shape the 10–12 oz leather to create the collar strap.
  • We add adjustment holes and fit the buckle and center O-ring.
  • The finished design brings together American-tanned leather and local craftsmanship.
